Georgian Bar Information
Georgian styled bars for double-glazed units add a touch of elegance and traditional character to windows, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. Available in various colours and materials, these Georgian bars are designed to replicate the classic look of traditional window glazing while improving energy efficiency and structural integrity. Options range from white finishes to rich wood grains, allowing homeowners to choose a style that complements their property while providing the benefits of modern double glazing.
Duplex AKA 'Multi Spacer' and 'Back to Back'
Adding Duplex to the internal construction of a sealed window unit is to segment the unit into individual units for external (Astragal) bars to be applied when fitting. We offer up to 5 spacers both horizontal and vertical. Total width of the Duplex Bar is either 18mm or 25mm. The coordinate 'X' marks the centre of the location of a vertical bar/duplex and 'Y' marks the centre of the location of a horizontal bar/duplex. Our system calculates the position of the bars/duplex based on the overall width or height of the window and divides and then places the specified amount of bars at equal intervals. Try it and see! You can also type in the exact coordinates should you choose to have the bars in different locations such as borders. Please note the colours of the Duplex Bars will match that of the unit's Spacer Bar you have chosen.
Leaded Glazed Units - All formats available
We supply leaded Double Glazed units for new builds or to replacement damaged or failed units. We can customize each individual unit so the patterns follow through on the surrounding windows/units. In some cases you will be contacted for more information to ensure we accurately reproduce what is required. Please see our many formats within the Lead pulldown options. The lead we use come in both 6mm and 9mm widths and are available in either antique or bright finish.
Shaped Double Glazed Unit Options
Shaped Units inc. Raked Tops, Arches and other shapes are available as an extra for your sealed unit/s. For a single straight cut (Raked/Triange units) simply select 'Single Cut Shape'. For circles, arches, templates and any other shapes select the 'Multi-Cut Shape' option. The website calculates your unit price based on the option you have chosen. Once you have placed the order our customer service team will contact you to discuss your shaped requirements. You can either supply us a drawing or send us actual templates to match.
Glazed Stepped Unit Options
We can supply Glass Sealed Units with steps to suit your requirements. 'Stepped Units' are when one pane of the double glazed unit is larger than the other. This creates a step that can be for several purposes. The common use for stepped units are conservatory roof units and skylight units. On Conservatory roofs this is used as a drip for water to flow into guttering and keeping moisture clear of the double glazed seal. Another reason for a step is pictured below where it is used for skylights and allows the upper pane to be placed onto the upstands and again allowing water to drip clear of the seal and used to cover/waterproof the upstands. The website calculates your unit price based on the number of edges that requires a step. Once you have placed the order our customer service team will contact you to discuss your step requirements.
Petflap/Vent Hole Options
We supply units with precut holes for Pet flap/Vent Hole Cut-outs. Simply select the option 'Catflap/Vent Hole' and then supply us the details of the shape, size and location of the cut-out. All units come with our standard 10 year warranty. Please remember that if the unit is required for a door then you will need to select 'Toughened Glass'. Once you have placed the order our customer service team will contact you to discuss your Cut-out requirement.

We supply units with or without taped edges. for Pet flap/Vent Hole Cut-outs.
