The spacer bar size depends on the thickness of the glass and the overall thickness of the double glazed unit. A standard double glazed unit typically uses 4 mm glass in each pane, so the spacer bar can be worked out from the overall unit thickness. For example, a 4 mm / 16 mm spacer / 4 mm unit has an overall thickness of approximately 24 mm. If the glass is a different thickness, the spacer size will need to be calculated accordingly.
