We supply leaded Double Glazed units for new builds or to replacement damaged or failed units. We can customize each individual unit so the patterns follow through on the surrounding windows/units. In some cases you will be contacted for more information to ensure we accurately reproduce what is required. Please see our many formats within the Lead pulldown options. The lead we use come in both 6mm, 9mm and 12mm widths and are available in a variety of finishes.
Glazed Stepped Unit Options
We can supply Glass Sealed Units with steps to suit your requirements. 'Stepped Units' are when one pane of the double glazed unit is larger than the other. This creates a step that can be for several purposes. The common use for stepped units are conservatory roof units and skylight units. On Conservatory roofs this is used as a drip for water to flow into guttering and keeping moisture clear of the double glazed seal. Another reason for a step is pictured below where it is used for skylights and allows the upper pane to be placed onto the upstands and again allowing water to drip clear of the seal and used to cover/waterproof the upstands. The website calculates your unit price based on the number of edges that requires a step. Once you have placed the order our customer service team will contact you to discuss your step requirements.
Shaped Double Glazed Unit Options
Shaped Units inc. Raked Tops, Arches and other shapes are available as an extra for your sealed unit/s. For a single straight cut (Raked/Triange units) simply select 'Single Cut Shape'. For circles, arches, templates and any other shapes select the 'Multi-Cut Shape' option. The website calculates your unit price based on the option you have chosen. Once you have placed the order our customer service team will contact you to discuss your shaped requirements. You can either supply us a drawing or send us actual templates to match.

Georgian bars in triple glazed units are an elegant architectural feature that provides a traditional aesthetic reminiscent of historical window designs. These bars are installed between or across the panes of glass in a triple glazing system, creating the appearance of smaller, individual panes. This classic style not only enhances the visual appeal of buildings but also upholds the enhanced insulation properties that triple glazing offers. By combining period charm with advanced energy efficiency, Georgian bars facilitate a seamless blend of historic aesthetics and modern performance, making them a popular choice for renovations and new builds alike.
Duplex Bars for Triple Glazed Units
Duplex bars serve as a refined design element in triple glazed units, designed to mimic the look of traditional divided panes while providing the benefits of modern glazing technology. These bars are situated within the construction of the unit, including a spacer bar that separates the glass panes and creates the illusion of multiple smaller sections of glass. This approach not only adds visual interest to windows but also ensures that the energy efficiency and insulation characteristics of triple glazing are preserved. Ideal for both contemporary and classic architecture, duplex bars result in a refined aesthetic while enhancing the overall functionality of the window.
Leaded Glass Triple Glazed Units
Leaded glass units with Georgian and Elizabethan designs in a triple glazing context showcase intricate craftsmanship and historical significance. Georgian leaded glass typically features symmetrical arrangements of small panes held together by lead cames, offering a sophisticated and orderly appearance that complements neoclassical architecture. Conversely, Elizabethan leaded glass layouts often incorporate more complex and artistic patterns that embody the elaborate sensibilities of the Elizabethan period. Utilizing triple glazing technology provides excellent thermal insulation and sound reduction, allowing these stunning designs to fit modern energy efficiency standards while enhancing the beauty and authenticity of a building.
Stepped Triple Glazed Units
Stepped triple glazed units provide a unique glazing option that caters to architectural features requiring a multi-tiered appearance. These units are composed of glass panes arranged in a stepped formation, allowing for a visually engaging design that can complement bay windows and overhangs. Despite their intricate configuration, stepped triple glazing maintains effective insulation properties, ensuring energy efficiency while delivering a dynamic aesthetic. The capacity to customize glass types, colors, and finishes enhances the overall design, making stepped triple glazed units an innovative solution that fuses style with performance.
Shaped Triple Glazed Units
Shaped triple glazed units represent a custom glazing solution designed to match unique architectural elements, offering a creative alternative to traditional window shapes. These units can be crafted in various forms—such as arcs, circles, or custom geometries—enabling designers to create visually striking features that enhance a building's character. By using advanced manufacturing techniques, shaped triple glazed units deliver exceptional thermal insulation and energy efficiency while accentuating the individuality of architectural designs. The integration of decorative glass options and custom finishes allows these units to fit seamlessly with specific design intentions, making them a popular choice for discerning homeowners and architects.
Pet Flaps and Vent Holes in Triple Glazed Units
Integrating pet flaps and vent holes into triple glazed units offers functional enhancements without sacrificing energy efficiency. Pet flaps are designed to allow pets to move freely in and out while preserving the integrity of the double glazing, equipped with secure locking options to ensure safety when not in use. Vent holes provide controlled ventilation, facilitating airflow within the space while maintaining the insulating benefits of the triple glazed unit. Careful design ensures these features seamlessly integrate with the glazing structure, enhancing usability while preserving the window’s overall aesthetics. Professional installation is recommended to ensure optimal performance and compliance with building regulations, ultimately contributing to a comfortable living environment.

Toughened Glass
In triple glazed units, toughened safety glass plays a crucial role in enhancing both safety and thermal efficiency. A triple glazed unit typically consists of three glass panes separated by spacers, often filled with inert gas for improved insulation. When toughened glass is used in these units, it adds an extra layer of protection, making the unit more resilient to impacts and environmental stresses. This is particularly beneficial for large windows or doors in buildings where safety concerns and energy efficiency are top priorities. The toughened glass not only minimizes the risk of injury upon breakage by crumbling into small, less harmful pieces but also contributes to the structural integrity of the glazing unit. Additionally, the combined use of toughened safety glass with advanced triple glazing technology helps in maintaining optimal indoor temperatures by reducing heat loss, thus contributing to energy savings and enhancing the comfort of living or working spaces.
