Annealed Float Glass

Standard Clear Glass is the most widely used glazing material for windows, doors, and everyday glazing applications. It is available in two main forms — float glass in its basic manufactured state, or as toughened safety glass where additional strength and impact resistance are required.

This can be supplied in various thicknesses depending on the application — from thinner panes for internal uses to thicker glass for structural and external glazing. It can be incorporated into double and triple glazed units to improve insulation and energy efficiency.

Standard Clear Glass remains the trusted choice for general glazing in homes and commercial buildings.

While standard annealed glass is available in various thicknesses the most common for domestic use is 4mm thick.
